Amista

For Amista, a dual 35 kW electric propulsion system from Green Marine was selected, developed for reliable commercial operation at sea. In collaboration with Craftmanship, a fully electric taxi boat was realised that operates daily between Bandol and Île de Bendor on the southern coast of France.

With a length of 11.3 metres and a weight of 6.5 tonnes, this application requires a propulsion system that combines efficiency with consistent performance under varying conditions. The two electric motors deliver instant torque, allowing the boat to accelerate smoothly and effortlessly reach a cruising speed of 10 knots.

The system is supported by a 120 kWh battery pack, designed for intensive commercial use and long operating days on open water. This configuration offers a strong balance between power, range and reliability, without compromising onboard comfort.

Thanks to its fully electric propulsion, Amista sails almost silently and completely free of vibration. This creates a comfortable and relaxed experience for passengers, with the focus on the surroundings and the crossing itself.

Amista is among the first fully electric commercial vessels operating at sea under the French flag in accordance with Division 222 regulations. This made the project technically complex and particularly challenging. Its successful realisation shows what is possible when design, engineering and execution come together through a strong collaboration between Craftmanship and Green Marine.

The combination of an efficient hull design, powerful electric propulsion and high-quality finishing makes Amista a strong example of the future of sustainable commercial boating at sea.
